Philip N. Rogone
Philip N. Rogone has done many things in his life. His writing career started in high school when he was introduced to the world of poetry. He was first published in his 1970 high school yearbook. He then went into the U.S. Army where he wrote love letters for his army buddies. The written word and the power it possessed he recognized as his poetry evoked emotions from his readers.
Writing however could not pay the bills so Mr. Rogone did everything from building and selling automotive batteries in San Diego to managing a toy store in San Jose. His interest in the arts kept drawing him in and he found himself in Hollywood where he began doing extra work. Again too sporatic to make ends meet, he took a job as a waiter in Pasadena. After a time he went back to school and became a respiratory therapist. Five years later he was back in school again and this time graduated as a Physician Assistant. It was during these years that the desire to write became overwhelming again. This produced his first novel The Gettysburg Ghost...a love story, and a poem which has now become his first picture book, The Princess Frog.
He is currently co-owner and an inventor of products for premature infants in the hospital. However when he is not training sales people around the country you will find him at his computer writing. This year he will be releasing The Boy in the Mirror and its companion book The Girl in the Mirror.
